Montreux is a resort town in the Swiss Riviera. It is known for its annual Jazz Festival, water-front promenade, and Belle Epoque buildings. While it is a popular city, I think you only need two nights and one full day here. It is a perfect jumping off point for day trips to Aigle or Gruyeres. Learn more below!
What to Do
Take a tour of Chateau Chillon. Check out my blog post on it here.
Take a day trip to Aigle. Take a tour of Aigle Castle and if you can, do a wine tasting at one of the many vineyards there! I also recommend eating lunch at La Pinte du Paradis.
Walk along the promenade for stunning views of the lake and mountains.
Take a day trip to Gruyeres! This quaint, mountain town is famous for its cheese and chocolate. Read more in my blog post.
