While in Geneva, Switzerland, we took a day trip to Annecy, France. This beautiful town is a must-visit! Nicknamed the “Pearl of the French Alps” and “Venice of the Alps,” this city has won the “Golden Flower” award for being filled with flowers. All that being said, I think these pictures are all it will take to convince you to go.
I recommend walking around the winding roads and canals of Old Town (Vieille Ville), through the Jardins de l’Europe, over the Pont des Amours (Lovers’ Bridge), and along the promenade by Lake Annecy. At the lake you can also rent paddle boats, SUP, or partake in numerous other water sports.
