I have heard people around me who are married and have young children wondering what age they should start bringing their kids on vacations that aren’t local. In my opinion, I think kids should go on vacation every year from when they are born or one year old. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy but if you live in MA you should bring them down the Cape or to New Hampshire. Even if they don’t remember it, you will. This was the case with my sister and I, we were brought up going on vacations every year since we were born and I think it will start the affect of having them love to travel.
If parents are debating what age to start these big trips, I think they should start bringing their kids on vacations that are a little further from home when they start elementary school. My first big vacation (a 2 week vacation to Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. Another blog will come on those locations too) was when I was 7 years old and I remember all of it.
